Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Error on Maya Animation and Rigging Toolset MacOS

I am having an error using the ART. It occurs when I try to go from Skeleton Placement to Deformation Setup. The following is the error that comes up and I am kicked back to Skeleton Placement.

Naming Conflict [Errno 1] Operation not permitted: '/Users/Shared/UnrealEngine/4.10/Engine/Extras/Maya_AnimationRiggingTools/arttoolsosx/MayaTools/General/ART/system.DS_Store'. Aborting Operation. Please correct naming conflict and try again.

I am using the version from release 4.10 and I am using Maya 2015 Student Version. I have had the tools working for me before but I recently wiped my computer and reinstalled Maya. Does anyone know why this may be happening?

Product Version: UE 4.10

The OSX version of the tools is actually a community member's conversion and isn't maintained in-house unfortunately (we don't use Macs in our production environment). You may want to get in touch via his github page and see if he can help out:
