Translucent Shadows, controlled by opacity disappears depending on camera location.

Im making clouds in UE4, using a particle system and a translucent material. im shaping the clouds using a noisemodifier tied to the opacity of the material.

My problem is regarding shadows, they seem to fade in and out as i move the camera. After some detective work, i know that the shadows are visible while the CAMERA is in an area with higher value in the noise and not where the cloud itself is.

Thanks!

This looks similar to the issue that has been reported here: Unreal Engine Issues and Bug Tracker (UE-34623)

Thanks, though i am having the same problem regardless of using a noise node or a alpha mask. As soon as i am using varying opacity on translucent objects with a shadow, the same problem appears.

Yeah it doesn’t matter if its a noise or a texture mask. I wish the issue would change to take the fact that it is noise causing it. I submitted that bug and Your one @LOAW looks exactly the same. It’s been in the engine since 4.8 at least.
