UV´s missing in 4.13

Hi guys,

I have a weird problem in the new version I just installed. All of the models I import are missing the uv informations, which results in none of my textures and materials being shown. When I take a look in the uv channels they are empty. Older versions and other programs can read the models just fine, it´s not the files that are corrupt.

Anyone else has this problem? Or am I missing some extra settings in 4.13?

Thanks for any help!

can you show us some images?

Also, might be totally unrelated but was the low poly model exported from zbrush in .fbx format?

I already had this registered as a bug: Unreal Engine Issues and Bug Tracker (UE-35608)

And to answer you question Luos, it only seem to be related to OBJ format. FBX works fine.

Sure, here are some shots of the missing uvs. What I get is just a color change when I try to apply textures to a model. The last image shows what it should look like.

Thank you Jonas, I voted for it.

You’re welcome and don’t forget to mark it as solved

This one is actually fixed already and planned to be in the 4.13.1 hotfix once that is pushed live in the next week or two.

This issue also affects more than just OBJ as it affects FBX for some from some programs like Sketchup. For me it only gave an issue with OBJ files from 3DS Max but not FBX. I think others had pointed to some software other than these two that was giving the same issue as well.

Should the issue continue after the hotfix please post back here and we’ll follow up!

Thanks!

Tim

Hi, just wanted to report that I am having the same issue with FBX from megascans. But any FBX from any program I try to import into the engine have uvs missing. Hope this is fixed soon. Thanks

I’m experiencing this on FBX and OBJ
No UVS =(
What should I do?
