Missing inputs in Translucent Material?

Hello, I was wondering why material inputs like roughness, metallic, and normal are greyed out when I choose a translucent material blend mode as shown in the screenshot below. From my understanding these should still be available and they are shown as available in UE4’s docs in the example here: Material Blend Modes | Unreal Engine Documentation under the translucent section.

They become available when you select Surface TranslucencyVolume(or Surface PerPixel) Lighting Mode. They are pretty much useless without it.
