Sequencer in packaged VR project does not work when using sequence player on begin play of the level BP

But works with auto play

I have a few questions for you that will help narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.

Quick questions:

  1. Can you reproduce this issue in a clean project?
  2. If so, could you provide a detailed list of steps to reproduce this issue on our end?
  3. Could you provide screen shots of any other blueprints/settings that may be involved with this issue?
  4. Could you elaborate further on how things are not working as you would expect?

I opened a new project and checked instanced stereo

I created a character BP and added a camera to it

then I put that character BP in level as you see in the second image i sent

then I added that character to a sequencer and set some transform keys

then in level BP on beginplay I possessed that character and played sequencer using sequence player. nothing else

and packaged my project but sequencer would not play.

but it works with auto play.

After further testing, I was unable to reproduce this issue on our end with the information provided. This appears to be working for me. Could you provide your project so that I could take a closer look?

After taking a look at your project, it appears that your sequencer that is setup cannot find the VRCharacter that is supposed to be used. Is this the case on your end?

No no.
Every thing is fine in PIE
and also it works with auto play in packaged project.

But not using sequence player.

You can reproduce this simply. It has a simple setup.

Note: it happens only for vr packaged projects

I tried this several times in clean projects the same issue happened each time.

If you download the project provided above that you linked in an earlier post does this issue reproduce for you? I have not been able to reproduce this issue on my end with a clean project.

*Enable simple hmd plugin before packaging

*a sequencer must play onbeginplay which does play in PIE but not in packaged projects.

*i am using win 10
