There are a few existing posts discussing randomly slow download speeds of Unreal Engine, or even a freeze at close to 60% and I saw again at like 87%. I was experiencing this and I found that there are almost as many “resolved because we haven’t heard back” posts. This eventually resolved itself but I’m curious to know if this is a problem being looked into.
For reference I am at 98% right now for Unreal Engine. I began this download, and at around 58% I decided to take a video of how slow this was. I used the same computer to download CamStudio, install it, then take a 90 second video of the download performance. I then uploaded this 500mb file to YouTube. This video took 21 minutes to upload and another few minutes to process, but it completed when the Unreal Engine install percentage was 93%. All of this was done while I was downloading Unreal Engine as I was hoping to rule out network issue or computer performance on my part.
I understand there is no solution because this is a problem which naturally resolves on its own quickly. I’m just curious as to whether or not there is an idea of what is going on.
