Unknown error while packaging/cooking game after updating to 4.13

So I recently ported my project to version 4.13. and at first my packaging/cooking went fine, but I noticed that steam wasn’t enabled. So I went into Edit/Plugins and enabled Online Subsystem Steam and now steam was working fine when I played in standalone mode. But now when I try to cook the game I get this weird error:

And I have no idea what’s going wrong. I tried to google some stuff and I installed Windows SDK v. 8.1 and it still won’t work. Any help would be appreciated.

It seems that Visual Studio is broken … You must have VS 2015 and check C++ in setup options, try reinstalling maybe ?

I think I have the community edition of VS 2015… Isn’t it a bit weird tho that it would suddenly stop working after adding a plugin? I don’t know, I guess I’ll try reinstalling Visual Studio.

There are a few posts where people are experiencing this issue. You do not need to re-installing VS2015 but you do need to add Common Tools for Visual C++ . (This additional step was not required for VS2013.)

If you do decide to reinstall, make sure Common Tools for Visual C++ is selected during the installation process.

I reinstalled Visual Studio 2015 with C++ and it fixed my problem, thanks for the help :slight_smile:
