Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Project Browser files not showing

Some files are not showing up in the project browser. I can refresh the project list, but they do not show up. I can still find them in the browser files, And open them there. But No matter how many times I load them, they will not show natively. Even though they were originally there.

This seems to happen at random. I'm not sure but maybe it's because I'm using Linux (GitHub release branch). How does one fix this?

Hey Rcrr-

Are the projects that are not appearing in the project browser saved in the same location as the project that do show up? There is a known issue (https://issues.unrealengine.com/issue/UE-17253) where Linux projects saved outside of the default folder location do not appear in the project browser. Moving these projects to the same location as your other projects should cause them to appear in the browser again.

Cheers

As it turns out, all I needed to do was move scroll bar, and they'd appear...OOPS! Sorry.

Still. I'm wondering why 2/3 of the browser is hidden until I use the scroll wheel.
