Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

fbxsdk.h file not found compiling 4.2 on Mac

Hi there, I am attempting to build the 4.2 branch under OSX, however the file fbxsdk.h file cannot be found.

I have downloaded the 3 dependency files (`Required_1of2.zip`, Required_2of2.zip and Optional.zip despite not needing it by the look of things) and the header is in the source tree:

 $ find . -name fbxsdk.h

Messages from the Xcode (5.1.1) log pane:

 [2/548] Compile Module.UnrealEd.11_of_21.cpp

 #include <fbxsdk.h>

Can anyone provide any help please?

Hey trojanfoe,

It looks like you have the old dependencies. The latest zip for 4.2 has this file in the 2014.2.1 subfolder, as we updated FBX SDK. Make sure to download the 4.2 dependencies and you should be good to go!

I'm hitting the same problem. The FBX SDK is, indeed in the ThirdParty folder, but the FBX subfolder is not in the project's header search path after running the generate command. You have to go into the project settings and add it.

You might want to consider just adding the top level directories (Source, Plugins, etc) as recursive search directories rather than having dozens and dozens of individual non-recursive directories in the project. Will be less fragile.
