Client crashes after I build

Hello everyone,
I’m still new with UE and after I build my client immediatly crashes
I uploaded the two logs since i don’t know which one is needed and Thanks for your help

I have a few questions relating to the crash:

  • When you say build, are you referring to packaging your game?
  • If so, what platform are you packaging for?
  • Is the editor crashing or is it the game client?
  • Are you getting a crash reporter window?
  • If so, please provide your Machine ID and ensure to hit Send & Close on the report.
  • Is the crash occurring if you package out a clean project?
  • when i say building, i’m referring to The bouton Build next to play in the editor ( I’m still new sorry not sure if that means packaging the game) and it’s for desktop/console.
  • It’s the whole editor that’s crashing. the window Unreal engine editor has stopped working appears ( not the unreal engine crash reporter, the classic windows 7 one )
  • my machine’s ID is 00371-OEM-8992671-00437
  • the crash happens when i build a FPS with starter package and with no modification in blueprint

Thanks for the information. Building the FPS project on my end is not causing a crash, which leads me to believe it could be an issue with your hardware.

Could you please provide your dxdiag?

Also, ensure that your graphics card drivers are up-to-date.

Hey Gafour,

After looking over your system specs, I imagine that the crash is related to the fact that you are using a PC that is below our recommended specs, which could lead to some odd behavior.

Try opening a blank project and hitting the build button to see if the same issue occurs, meaning don’t use any of the template projects.

It could very well be that the build process is trying to use more memory than you have access to on your PC.
