why open surfaces don´t appear the front side?

the first image shows a cube and a part of a cylinder in rhinoceros.
PROBLEM:
when i import this FBX file and i drop it in the scene, i see the second image![alt text][1]

what should i do???

Hey dani2442-

If you open the mesh in the editor you should find a checkbox for “Double Sided Geometry”. Setting this to true will render both sides of the mesh rather than just one. I’m not familiar with Rhinoceros however I would expect a similar “2-sided” option to be available there as well.

Cheers

thank you. you solved the problem with simple meshes, but i`m still having the problem with other more complex meshes

the first image is bad import and the second is in 3ds max

Does the mesh appear the same in the editor if you uncheck Double Sided Geometry? Can you check the mesh inside 3DS Max to see if it is set as 1- or 2-sided there?
