Vehicle stuck in the air

Hi all,

I’m having a bit of a nightmare getting the Wheeled Vehicle blueprint to work. I have followed both of the popular YouTube tutorials, How to get wheeled vehicle from Blender to Unreal Engine 4 from scratch [OLD] - YouTube is the one I have been working with today.

Both tutorials end with my vehicle stuck in the air where it was placed, as if there are no physics turned on in it. The inputs don’t move the vehicle no matter the height. So has anyone else experienced this static vehicle problem?

Thanks

Just to be sure, dud you follow this tutorial: Introduction to Vehicles | v4.2 | Unreal Engine - YouTube

It’s really hard to tell what the issue is without more information, can you provide screenshots of your code and mesh and other…?

No, It was the one I linked with my original post, ill watch through that one though as well thanks.

I found the problem after a day of getting nowhere, user error as usual. I was dropping the skeletal mesh into the blueprint instead of assigning it to the “Mesh (inherited)” that the vehicle blueprint has at its root. Was a frustrating problem but glad it has solved now.

Thanks for replying I have it sorted now and promoted the solution to the answer.

I am having The Same Problem, When i Press play, Vehicle gets stuck in the air and no input works,
i assigned the mesh to my car, but still the same, Can Anyone Help me Please

Same situation here, did you ever find a solution?

Damned!! simulate physics is disabled by default!!!
