How to throw enemies/objects in a Sidescroller

Greetings! I have been scouring the tutorials and forums for weeks trying to find A related workaround to this but to no avail…

The only existing blueprints I can find that is even remotely close to what I’m looking for is the First Person/Skyrim style Item pick up and throw. For some reason There is nothing about this for sidescroller/third person games

The game I’m currently working on is a 3D side scroller in which the main character grabs and throws enemies in the four directions. I have just about all the other core features except the grab/throw mechanic… And it’s really stumping me up!

I’ve been trying to reverse engineer some of the vaguely useful blueprints but they haven’t worked so far, granted I’m only a month or so into unreal and am very much a layman, I would still love to see someone’s “non-FPS” grab and throw mechanic layout…

I would greatly appreciate any kind of direction!
