Unreal 4 gyroscope

So I am trying to port my gear VR game to normal android to make it work. Without gear VR plugin, I am trying to make a AR-like camera control. But I find the tilt and rotationrate not enough for make this happen.
Are there any more inputs that I could possibly access? Or can I look into the gear VR plugin to see how they make the motion control?
I read this Sharing Gear VR BP : android orientation -> camera orientation - XR Development - Epic Developer Community Forums and fortunately it does not work.
