Directional Light not working when launching to Android

I launch my game to multiple android devices but the directional light nor the skylight work, it’s all black. However i got multiple spot light in the map and they all work fine, i change the Directional light and the sky light to stationary, static and movable build the light again but none work.

Any particular reason why is not working ?

Hi Juan,

Can you post a screenshot from your device of the issue, the settings you’re using for your scene setup to reproduce the issue, along with the specs for the Android devices you’re deploying to?

Also for mobile devices, Spot Lights are not yet supported for any mobile devices.

Thank you!

Hey , thanks for the reply

I currently testing it a Alcatel one touch and a Samsung Galaxy S3

As you can see the spot light work the direction and the sky light don’t.

From your screenshot where you show the directional light source the option for “affect world” is unchecked which means that the light will be disabled from affecting anything in the scene. You need to reenable this.

Didn’t work.

Check or unchecked same result.

If you have a test level it something that I can run on my end would probably be more helpful at this point. I’ve not been able to reproduce this that I can see.

I added another direction light and that apparently fix the issue. I don’t know if that would hit performance but it work, maybe i will try replacing it with the new one.

Directional Lights won’t cast any light (on android) if “cast shadows” is disabled. They still won’t cast shadows on mobile devices, however, unless you set “dynamic shadow distance stationary lighting” to a new value.
