Royalties on Linear Media

Two-fold question:

  1. The FAQ says that no royalties are required to be paid for, “Linear media, including movies, animated films and cartoons distributed as video.” If I understand this correctly, if I make a say an animated film of some length or an animated series using the engine, those products would be royalty-free. Is this correct?
  2. If I run a Kickstarter for a Linear Media project that uses the UE4 Engine such as an Animated Series, would I owe Royalties on that?
