How can I have hard banded lights?

Hey everyone, a little lighting question!

this is a picture of some arbitrary point lights and geometry shown through the “Light Complexity” viewmode. Is there a way to achieve this sort of banded hard lights?

The closest I’ve gotten so far is using to spot lights with inner and outer cone the same size but surely that isn’t very optimal:
