Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Hi Packetmonkey,

Usually when you have dark banding like that it is a result of your shadow bias being set too low causing self shadowing artifacts on your mesh. A possible reason why it looks different with a stationary light is because your directional light's "dynamic shadow distance stationary light" is set to 0.

I'm assuming that you are talking about the dark banding on the mesh and not the bright pink floor BTW. ;)

Let me know if that helps,

Ed

Thanks so much. Only one more question, why is "dynamic shadow distance stationary light" set so i can't change it?. The floor btw is just so i can clearly see the lighting.

That is just the default value, You can change that value to determine at what point the stationary light's dynamic lighting takes over. Other wise it will use your baked lighting.
