Light shadows not cast correctly

Hello there,
I am currently trying to achieve an effect, where a light is shining through som window blinds, and is then casting shadows on the ground of the blinds. Before I build the light it looks good, and kinda how I want it to be, but as soon as I have build it, the light changes completely, and looks out of place. Any help on this is appreciated.

Currently I am using a Point light, but I have also tried with a Spot light and Source Light. All of which does the same.

Hi SebastianRSP -

Quick test, change the light source that you are using to generate your light into a Movable light (in the details panel of the light at the very top) and rebuild. Does it keep the effect you are looking for or does it still blur out the lighting and not render some of the objects.

Also some questions to help narrow down the problem:

Are the blinds fully 3D or modeled Flat Planes, and if they are flat planes do they have a two-sided material attached?
The holes in the blinds in the top image, are they modeled or alpha-ed out? If they Alpha-ed out, does the material for that object have “Cast Shadows as Masked” checked as true in your material >> Lightmass >> Lightmass settings?

Let me know -

@Eric Ketchum Thank you so much Eric, changing it to Movable light actually did the trick straight away. I’m sorry for wasting any time, and I really appreciate the help
