How to purge UE3 assets from a project?

Referring to thread, I take it’s clear no UE3 sample assets can be used in a UE4 project.

My friend gave me his UDK project and wanted to see if I could convert it to UE4.

I installed the free version of the UDK. Looking at all the folder and file contents/names, I don’t know for sure which assets are from UE3. I mean, some are obviously Epic’s but others could be either.

Is there a relatively “easy” way to remove or somehow tag all of the UE3/UDK assets in a project?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Short answer: no
Long answer: nope

Basically need to re-import everything from scratch.

Haha, awesome. Thanks for clarifying it. All the threads I’ve stumbled across about it insinuate such, but they weren’t definitive. Likely I didn’t find the right threads…

Thank you, Luos.
