Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Can you update/reimport a heightmap to a terrain object?

I'd like to tweak my heightmap but I don't want to create a whole new landscape, I just want to update the imported image that was used to generate it, is that possible?

Yep, for sure. The only thing is, you have to match a certain resolution. I'll go with an example: 1) create a landscape with Recommended Landscape Size 2) right click on Heightmap button in "sculpt" tab of Landscape tool. 3) select "Export to file" 4) edit it everywhere you want (Photoshop, WorldMachine, etc.etc.) 5) right click on Heightmap button in "sculpt" tab of Landscape tool and select "Import from file". 6) You'll have a perfectly matching terrain.

Peace, Budello

PS: you can follow my tutorials in the wiki, too. World machine Height and size
