I’m trying to make my character shoot laser from his eyes and the laser should keep going along with character not just floating around like magic. I already tried all techniques (socket billboard/reference) that I know. WHAT SHOULD I DO FOR GOD SAKE @@
not enough info.
show us the setup from cascade (especially the required node, and anything you think might be handy for others to know to solve the issue), how did you apply the effect to the character? did you set up a blueprint? if so, show us.
hmm… for something as static as this you could just use a static mesh with a bright red material on it.
As for the beam though, how are you controlling the target?
Hello I’m not quite sure what it is you are attaching the ‘beam’ to (billboard) so if it does have any other characteristics I don’t know about, I’m sorry. I’m surprised the beam doesn’t follow because you did child it under your character. have you tried changing the the location type in the SpawnEmitterAttached to SnapToTarget? I know I it worked for me a while back but I was working with a slightly different emitter. I do have a working project with a laser like this too so I can look into it more once I get a chance if this doesn’t work.
