Strange reflectance.

Hello,
I’m getting some strange reflectance issues (see images). Its like the light thats hitting the door is completely ignoring the surrounding walls that should be blocking the light. The lighting has been baked and im getting mixed results. In the first image, it should just be a very dark room. When it didn’t even have a door, the room baked pitch black as it should have. But when the door was put it im getting some reflectance on the door again and its almost like its lighting up the room in a weird way.

Any suggestions would be great as im stumped.
Thanks

Just seen that i was getting a map check error

‘more overridden materials on static mesh component than are referenced in source mesh’

Theirs a link that has the answer but i’m not familiar where these options are in ue4.

Aparently i need to ‘replace actors with’ to link them back to their original meshes

???

Nope i fixed the error and still the same result

Looks like it needs a reflection probe. Try adding a Sphere Reflection Capture near the door.

Cheers mate. That did it. Didn’t know a reflection probes affected in such a way. its always something simple haha

Glad I could help. Could you accept the answer so people know it has been resolved?
