Diagnostics & Usage - iOS Background Crash Logs?

Has anyone ever taken a look at the crash logs on their iPhone?

Settings->General->About->Diagnostics & Usage [Data]?

e.g. [LatestCrash-TappyChicken.ips]

I noticed on my minimal test device (iPhone4) that there were several crash logs pertaining to TappyChicken,
from past executions. I won’t post a screenshot of the log because I don’t know what is sensitive and what isn’t, but you can probably see the same thing on your own device. The TappyChicken Version I am running is the release currently in the app store.

(Note: the ‘Diagnostics & Usage’ data is cleared from your device every time you sync to iTunes, so the list may be empty).

The game runs fine with no problems, other than the GameCentre-ExternalLoginUI/Welcome banner randomly taking longer than usual (1 in 8 runs) to present itself, sometimes 10 seconds, other times 2+ minutes.

I’m not sure if the crash log entries are pertinent to any issues other than ‘background timeout’ memory expulsions.

It would be great if someone (Epic dev?) could shed some light on whether these crash logs need any attention.

p.s. I know TappyChicken is an old game/project, however, it is a perfectly minimal and ‘fast’ exemplar for the iPhone4 which is my minimal supported device.

Hey Ash22,

If the game is running fine, then you should not worry about the logs. However, if you notice that the game is crashing and you would like to try and figure out why, you’ll need to upload the logs as a .txt file for us to review.
