Subtractive not deleting Landscape

I’ve create a regular 15x15 Landscape in Unreal Tournament (Using Unreal Version 4.14.0 and a Default New Level)

I wanted to make a well in the landscape so I made 2 cylinders. One that added the geometry of a cylinder, and one that I copied from the original. I made the second one smaller and turned the Brush Type to Subtractive. The Subtractive cylinder cut out the area I wanted from the other cylinder, except it didn’t touch the landscape. I hit play and I could stand on it. So it wasn’t a visual bug.

How can I make a hole in the landscape?

I have a short video briefly going over the problem. But the video contains 2 other problems I had trying to create a work around this problem.

BSP only affects other bsp. It wont subtract from other meshes or landscape or anything. You can edit the sections of landscape, add sections or delete sections. You will notice in the landscape actor also that there is a material for landscape and a hole material. So you can pick and choose exactly how you want this to work but you are wanting to make a hole that you can go into like a cave or something you will need to model the cave in a 3d program and build the landscape around it.
