Destructable mesh impact only working once

So ive been trying for a long while to make impact damage work properly on my destructable meshes, and ive created a plate that is falling from a counter, and when it hits the counter it creates small chips as it should but then when it falls to the floor it just stays rigid, when it should have broken even more than it did from the first time

Here are a number of things to try, but this sounds like one of those problems you would have to screen time with someone to fix.

  • Reimport all Static and Destructive Meshes
  • Set your floor to Block All in the collision options
  • Set all of the meshes involved to the default Physics Material
  • Copy and paste the counter, scale and material it to match the floor, and then make it the new floor
