First time user, OSX, spinning world...

Hi all

I am a n00b to game design, trying out UE4 on a fairly capable OSX platform (i7, GTX970, 16GB, 4GB VRAM, SSD boot disk, El Cap 10.11.6).

I have no background (just starting to learn Blender) so I don’t know what to expect. I fired up UE4 and randomly picked the Vehicle sim. I could play the minimal sim all right (drive the little blue car around with arrow keys, interact with the various objects, good physics, etc). However when I stop playing and revert to Editor mode, the camera is spinning madly. The world goes round and round and round … and I can’t find a way to stop this. The camera also seems to drift slowly upwards. I can adjust camera tilt and look straight down at my spinning world, but I can’t stop the rotation.

Is this a feature (pan around your whole world before you get started) or a bug? There’s no way to make sense of the world or edit anything with the POV rotating like this, so I need to find out how to stop it. Where’s the off-switch for the autopan?

Sorry if this is a dumb question. I have seen some other mentions of this problem but so far no answers. “Restart and hope”?
