I’m getting this problem and I’m not sure what the problem is. When I use the same settings from the browser everything connects properly, but when I try to go through the UE4 Control Login, it fails. I’m not sure which part is incorrect.
This is what it looks like right now. The user name and password are correct and the Repository is pointing at the correct spot. Note, this is in 4.2.

This error means that SVN cannot locate a working copy for the repository that you have specified in the project’s path. To rectify this, you will need to ‘SVN checkout’ a working copy into your project’s directory.

I don’t know… a decade later and this is the first Google result still… and seems the error message has gotten worse, not better… but the solution was still the same.
