Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Project crashes upon startup

I was editing a blueprint, and upon clicking Play, the editor crashed, this is typical of Unreal when having it open for some time, but now I cannot open my project, it crashes at 95%.

I did not install debugging symbols initially, so attached are the only log files I have.

I've tried deleting the Intermediate directory, and replacing the .uasset file with an older version, I believe the offending file is BP_Gems.uasset, and specifically the materials that were being assigned to its static mesh.

Hey d4rkz3r0-

Unfortunately the log files do not indicate where or why the crash is occurring. If you feel it is the blueprint, you should be able to remove the BP_Gems.uasset from the Content folder through the explorer. If that is the cause you should be able to open the project after moving the file to your desktop or another location. Once the projects opens you can try to move the file back into the project or recreate the blueprint.

Cheers
