Having real trouble understanding how to attach two hands to a weapon

Hi,

So currently I have a rifle where it’s handle is attached to a right hand socket. I have been reading about how to make it appear as if the left hand is attached because I understand I cannot use another socket and I came accross IK. The problem is that I haven’t been able to find guides on the subject that make understanding the subject clear as there is little explination of setups and the guides I find all talk about IK foot placement and nothing about hand placement which means I am a bit lost. Do I need to use Two Bone IK and Hand IK or just one of them?

Any guide on the subject of getting two hands to attach to a weapon or information to make things clearer would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

please have a look at this tutorial

Hi A GUPTA,

Thanks for the responss. Unfortunately it’s not quite what i’m looking for. I already have the weapon attached to the right hand socket. What im trying.to do is make it so that the weapon also appears to stay in the left hand as well. The animations weren’t built around the wepon model so for example when the user moves left the weapon stays in the same place because of the right hand socket but the left hand moves away from the weapon following its animation. I understand IK can solve this problem by setting the effector location. The problem is I have no idea how to set that up and there’s no clear guides on it. Any further help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Do you find solution I looking for it too?
