distort a sphere into a flat plane

What I’m looking for is to make the player walk on a sphere, but the player will view the sphere as a flat plane. Is it possible to do in unreal engine?

It most likely is possible but it’s not quite clear here what you are trying to achieve.

you know what a globe is, right? OP wants to take a globe, and distort it in such a way that it’s flat (eg. cutting it from top to bottom on one side and then stretching the edges untill it’s flat)

Isn’t that then just a circle…? That’s why I’m confused. Also if that’s the case I’m also wondering, as far as I know there isn’t a way to make planes of anything because everything is 3 dimensional. I usually import them from my 3d modeler.
