UE4 2D Map Capability

I’ve been looking all over the web and can’t get an answer to what I’m looking for.
On the 2D side-scroller platform can you give your game the ability to scroll vertically and horizontally (E.g. Undertale) through blueprint?
The game is going to be advanced and include plenty of 3D gameplay alongside the typical 2D RPG that can’t be done in Gamemaker or RPG maker.

Yes.

But its up to you as a developer to make it. This isnt game maker we are talking, if you have the coding skills you can basicly make anything.

EDIT: If i can be brutally honest, if you are asking such questions you are probably not getting helped mych by UE4. I would suggest RPGMaker or Gamemaker Studio.

The thing is I’m making a rather large portion of the game 3D which requires the kind of capabilities UE4 has. So, the only way to get something close to such a game would be though a lot of C++ coding is what you’re saying?

Here’s another thing that is difficult to find but pretty useful. If you are a new creator who wants to follow a tutorial on a 2D retro RPG, I suggest this video series: Unreal Engine 4 2D Scroller Lessons 1 - 34

I’ve been looking for awhile without finding exactly what I want, but this is the closest one yet showing some capabilities of the side-scroller platform with Blueprints. Enjoy!
