The command “Stereo On” is not working when using Stand Alone Game from the UE 4.14.0 editor. Works fine in packaged games.

In the 4.14 version of the engine this is not supported in stand alone. You will need to use VR preview if you would like to test your project in VR. I hope that this information helps.
