NVIDIA Ansel Issues

Hi all,

I’m having issues with the new Ansel plugin. I’ve followed the instructions in the docs (Capturing Media in Unreal Engine | Unreal Engine 5.2 Documentation) and Ansel is partially working however when I launch a standalone game my viewport looks like this:

As you can see I’m getting a thick black band at the bottom of the viewport and my regular viewport is compressed and distorted. This bar is also visible on the Ansel screenshots.

Any idea what might be causing this?

Not sure what was going on, but I migrated the map to a new project and that’s fixed it.

Glad you got it sorted.

I’d be interested in seeing your un-migrated project if feasible. The text in the UI looks a bit stretched so I’m wondering if this is something to do with a non-square aspect ratio; does the migrated (working) project use the same resolution/display settings?

Thanks.

hello adamnv,

I have same display issue (when simulating game or mobile device) and only pushing F11 gives to display correct proportions.
but I’m not sure that it is that way it should be?
You mentioned “I’m wondering if this is something to do with a non-square aspect ratio” what you mean by this? can you expand on?

ps.- (contrary to to dmhwtn my Ansel Alt+F2 dose not start, but that is an other issue)

I’m not sure if this is your issue, but I’ve had the exact same issue and the problem is that my Oculus Rift was plugged in. Unplugging it made standalone go fullscreen.

If anyone still has this problem: Pressing F11 fixed it for me.

why do I not get specular highlights and reflections when switching to ansel ?
