Problem seemed to be related to this error in output log
LogModuleManager:Warning: ModuleManager: Unable to load module ‘C:/Program Files/Epic Games/4.14/Engine/Binaries/Win64/UE4Editor-XAudio2.dll’ because the file couldn’t be loaded by the OS.
I downloaded and installed this DirectX and it solved the problem for me. It was kinda random dumb luck, but I figured XAudio2 was part of the DirectX package and decided to update windows and Reinstall/Update DirectX. Hope this helps someone.
