'Session Not Found' Steam multiplayer not working in 4.14

I had followed the Steam Multiplayer tutorial series and had a working multiplayer project in 4.13. However, after updating to 4.14, it finds no sessions to join.

Have you tried packaging the game and seeing if it’s still not connecting to steam?
Are you still getting the steam overlay (ie, is steam actually working).

Ah ok. Sorry mate I have no idea. Anything of note in the logs? Which tutorial series did you follow?
Also I’m sure you would be, but you’re testing with the game being hosted on a different pc to your connecting client right?

Yes, this is both from editor and packaged. I still get the Steam overlay.

Have you tried recreating the setup in 4.14? It’s possible that there was an issue with the upgrade process that caused it to fail to work after you copied it and upgraded it to 4.14.

What does your setup look like for finding and joining sessions?

Followed this tutorial series on 4.13 Blueprint Multiplayer: Project Overview | 01 | v4.11 Tutorial Series | Unreal Engine - YouTube

Hosting works for single player.

Joining gives “No sessions found.”

I didn’t find any broken connections. Are there any changes to game mode, online subsystems, etc. that would affect this?

Just to double-check, are you sure that your Online Subsystem Steam plugin is enabled in Edit->Plugins->Online Platform?

Yes.I am sure.

Okay, great. I’d recommend moving that logic into the player controller and giving that a shot. Let me know how that works for you.

Before I do that I wanted to add that I just did a test with a 4.13 project that I have not modified in some time and now get the same result. Has their been any changes from Steam’s end in the last month or so?

I realized that this is a problem on my PC specifically and made a more accurate answerhub question here https://answers.unrealengine.com/questions/532395/steam-multiplayer-doesnt-work-on-my-pc-anymore.html
