Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Could you post your DXDIAG please...?

Hello Richer1980,

As teak421 mentioned, your DxDiag information would be helpful. From the message, this looks like a graphics card driver crash. What were you doing when this happened? How often does this occur? Have you monitored your graphics card's temperature when this occurs to see if it is overheating?

Hello Takla321,

If you're getting the same message that Richer1980 was getting, namely the "Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost. (Error: 0x887A0006 - 'HUNG')", your crash is likely related to this issue: UE-38818

We currently don't have a workaround for this so I would suggest returning to 4.13 if you are able to. The issue itself is related to hardware issues, so if you have another PC with more RAM than the one you're currently using, that could be a possible workaround as well.

You can feel free to use that link provided to track the progress of this issue.
