Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Crash when moving ScreenCapture2DComponent with Forward Shading and No Shadows

Build Type: Binary build

Build version: 4.14.0-3195953

Description: I have a project with an actor that has a ScreenCapture2DComponent attached. If Forward Shading is enabled and Shadows are turned off (low quality), once the actor is moved it crashes the game/editor.

Repro Steps:

  1. Make a new project

  2. Enable Forward Shading

  3. Select Low quality for Shadows in the Engine Scalability Settings

  4. Now in the level create a new actor

  5. Attach a ScreenCapture2DComponent to the actor

  6. Assign a Render Target texture to the ScreenCapture2DComponent

  7. Run the game in the Selected Viewport

  8. Select the actor in the World Outliner and move him

  9. Expect a crash

For me this reliably reproduces the bug all the time.

Attached a log from the crash.

Product Version: UE 4.14
