Editor crashing on launch after project update to 4.2

I can’t seem to be able to update my project to 4.2. When it asks up update my project, it wants to recompile the code, which it does without any errors and then when it starts launching the editor, it crashes with this error.

My project is entirely blueprint based, but with one empty new code class. I’ve tried rebuilding it from code in VS, again comes out without any errors, but crashes in the same way. I can however launch the game from the .uproject file and it works fine. I’ve looked at the crash log and while it has things in it that strike me as odd, I can’t really figure out what’s going wrong or how to fix it. The same project works fine in the 4.1.1 version. And any new projects work fine with 4.2. As do the sample games I’ve tried updating.

For some reason the editor didn’t want to load my default map as the default map. So I changed the name of another map to the default one and it loads perfectly fine. And even opens up the map that wouldn’t run at start up without any problems half of the time in the editor. So… yeah… if anyone is experiencing similar problems, try changing the default map that’s loaded at start up.
