Blender animating for ue4 and weapon equiping

So im making a game using UE4 and blender and i need info since i dont know what to do…

I want to make a fp/tp game and i made a m4a1 carbine and rigged it and made a few simple animations but i was animating without any hands just the weapon its self and lets say i want this animated weapon import to ue4 and add the weapon to the character hands. How can i make the character hands to hold the guns diffrently depending on the gun type and then the character hands would move accordingly to animation so if the character is running with weapon in hands the running animation with weapon would look different…

Yeah i have seen that tutorial havent tried it but i dont understand the part of animations, how to change the animations of running/walking with equiped weapon… will this blueprint assign animations of the weapons so when running with weapon in hands…

never take it as a mock or insult . Until U read this tutorial / follow U won’t be able to progress properly . Many tutorials are also available in youtube too but better U try so that U know how to create animations and how they work together.

Ok will try that later but if i want to use a full character ingame and create an animation that the character preses a button to pull out a mag… do i have to use hands or full body in animating and if so what do i do then when eporting delete the hands or will unreal just skip the body/hands and just use the weapon and transfer the animations to the character…?

If U need a full body animation U can do so . well actually U can play 2 different animations together

like what U ask is while walking or running can U pull off a weapon . well ofcourse U can do so / play 2/ 3/… different animations together

i.e.

  1. Create Ur animations separately.
  2. In animation BP plug them to blend poses(In Layer Blend Per Bone)
  3. Grab the pin and attach to final animation pose
  4. some thing like this - YouTube

Ok I have seen the tutorial before but I haven’t seen the whole one… so if I understand the point of these anim graphs is to combine multiple animations at once…? so i need to make then different anim graps for different weapons and depending on that weapon different walking/running anim graphs…

But if I want to make a high complicated animation for weapons like this one:

If U only wanna create a weapons animation then U won’t need to add hand and stuffs but ultimately U’ll need to position the hands/fingers for the animations to look realistic.
