Editor: GPU acceleration

I am temporarly using a 980ti and it does not seem to use the GPU / HW acceleration within editor.
Without it, scrolling through outliner or content browser is extremely choppy and it is nearly impossible to use the viewport of blueprint editor.
A partial workaround is to specify directx level via shortcut, but it makes VR crash on play/preview.

Is it possible to use GPU acceleration keeping VR play/preview usable?

I have found the solution here. It is really annoying, it was related to Asus Sonic Suite II. (used for on-board audio chip)
