Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Feature Request: Cylinder shaped Collisions

Currently Unreal Engine 4 does not support one of the most basic shapes for collisions: Cylinders. The only comparable option is Capsule, which has the problem of being round at both ends - which is exactly what I don't need, this would cause collisions to miss their intended spot. It would be great to have support for Cylinder shaped collisions, as they have just as many uses as the other collisions named here.

While I am aware that PhysX doesn't support Cylinders as a primitive (which tbh is an odd choice), making these collisions manually out of n-DOPs is not going to cut it. In the mean time, I am using boxes to do the work of cylinders - somewhat effective, but still takes a while.

I definitely want this too. Maybe it is worth it to bug nVidia about getting PhysX support for it. Wouldn't a cylinder be simpler to implement than a capsule I wonder?
