License and Royalty Questions (after reading FAQ)
I have read and understood the flat 5% royalty fee that Epic has for Unreal 4. We have been using it for development on our project and will continue doing so, however I am curious if there is any additional legal work that needs to be done while in development, and prior to our release/kickstarter. Don't want to incur any legal issues or step on any toes.
Also as far as paying royalties, should we only worry about submitting royalty reports once the game begins earning revenue, from both pre-sales and unit sales, or should we be submitting reports throughout development to prove that the game is not making revenue?
