Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Box brush don't cast shadow

Hi, I'm building a room, following instructions videos from youtube.

I don't know why, but the 'box brush' boxes I placed are not casting any shadow. The 'cast hidden shadow' button is not in the 'Lightning' menu.

I know that few posts were published about this topic, but I couldn't find any solution that I manage to implement my project.

Am I missing something? I'll really appreciate a detailed answer (I'm really new with UE4).

Thanks!

A screenshot of my problem attached: the box marked with red isn't casting any shadow, in opposed to the window object (marked with green)

BSP brushes don't cast shadows dynamically. You can convert it to a static mesh, or simply rebuild the lighting in the level and the shadows will appear. Note that you will have to rebake lighting if you move the brushes.
