Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Toggling VR Mode 2nd Time Crash with Rift CV1 (Workaround available)

Using a Rift CV1 (no touch), UE4.14 Windows 10 pro x64

Toggling VR mode (using stereo on and stereo off) a second time will crash UE4 IF the Oculus application was launched before the UE4 project AND IF the Rift Proximity Sensor is NOT activated (Being worn)

Replication:

  1. Start with a blank project and create a new, default map (with the player start and sky, etc.)

  2. Save the map and assign it as the default map in the project settings

  3. close the editor

  4. Launch Oculus application

  5. Launch UE4 project as Game (right clicking on .uproject for example)

  6. Once loadeded use the console to issue the following commands: hmd enable then stereo on

  7. The headset shoud become active and you can put it on and see the scene in VR (You may have to agree to the health stuff, be sure to put on the headset)

  8. Type stereo off into the console returning you to regular view

  9. Remove the headset (deactivating the proximity sensor)

  10. Type stereo on again into the console and

  11. Crash UE4

Workaround: To avoid this crash you simply must ensure the Oculus application is not running before loading your application. It will load when your project loads, but you should be able to switch without crashing.

The ticket says this is a duplicate but there is no link to the duplicate ticket? Is this bug already solved in master?
