you should check in the collision panel that you are not collide with the bullet . https://snag.gy/7OTMJF.jpg here is my player mesh collision - if you have bullets for player and bullets for enemies, you should create a different object channel in the collision section on Project settings. Thats the way I separate them and avoid me being killed by my own trace .
