How to get the iOS Certificate?

Hi! I’m very confused about how to get the Certificate and the Mobile Provision for iOS, note that I’m using a Windows PC and I can’t get access to a Mac PC and the instructions in the UE Documentation doesn’t match with the Apple Developer page.

Somebody can please guide me?

Also I think I’m not the only one with this problem so thanks a lot!

Hi Fernando5567,

Do you have an Apple developers account? If not, you will first need to get an Apple Developers account which costs about $125 to $150.

From there, you should be able to follow the instructions on this link:

iOS Provisioning - Generate Signing Certificate -This link includes a link to the iOS Certificates page on the Apple iOS Developer site. From there you will be prompted to download XCode OR Join the Apple Developer Program (if you have not already.)

Again, you must already be enrolled in the Apple Developer Program to access the Certificates and Provisions that allow you to test on iOS devices from a Windows system:

*Be advised you will only be able to test Blueprint Only projects (with no C++) from your PC straight to your device and, more importantly, you will ultimately need a Mac running XCode in order to compile ANY project (Code or Blueprint only) so that it can be packaged and distributed through the App store. If you do not have a Mac, you can develop on a PC then compile remotely to a friend’s or colleague’s Mac to package for widespread distribution of your iOS app.

If the linked documentation is unclear, please list specifically what is unclear and we will try and provide a comprehensive explanation and, if necessary, update the existing information.
