Website notification settings error

The bug is actually on this website, but there is no section for that.
When I try to update my notification settings I get this:

Okay. Something I’d like to try is removing one account to see if it frees up the other.

Would you be okay if I completely disable the old “Titirez5” account?

Okay. I have disabled that account.

Please try to update your notification settings again. You may need to sign out and in again, or delete your browser’s cache and cookies first to force a change.

I’m not positive that this will solve the issue. So if not, please let me know and we’ll continue to look into it.

Logged out, cleared cache for the last hour, logged in, tried to change notification settings. I get the same error :slight_smile:

Can you let me know exactly what notification settings you are trying to change?

Ok, no problem.
I see the error when I check or uncheck any of the notification boxes.

Our web vendor is hoping to fix this issue in an upcoming update, but until then they can manually set your notifications to whatever you were trying to set them to.

A year later - but this was the only response to this issue I could find.
I have been having the same problem for some time now.

I was having fun answering questions, but it got to the point I have to dump 2-3 pages of notifications from my email every morning from the Question Matching thing.

I stopped answering all together to try and stop it, I still get them.

Is it the same problem? I can’t imagine someone else with this username.
