Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Office Holiday

Epic Games' offices will be on holiday from June 22nd to July 7th. During this period support will be limited. Our offices will reopen on Monday, July 8th.

Epic games launcher downloading stuck at random precentage.

It installed ok but when I open Epic Games Launcher it says it's downloading (I assume updating the launchers files) but will get stuck at a random percentage. You can sometimes see a Red Triangle ! flash, or where the MB downloaded amount is, or the percent complete if it's close enough to the next percentage, it will roll back. It seems like it may have downloaded something because the amount of the download is smaller than the first time I tried. I have restarted my system since install.

Either it was a holiday hiccup or setting the download chunks to "1" for the launcher seemed to fix it.

In "C:\Users[your windows profile name]\AppData\Local\EpicGamesLauncher\Saved\Config\Windows\Engine.ini" file I added the following lines:

I'm thinking it has to do with my shoddy DSL ISP that doesn't even guarantee the service I pay for @ 1Mbps.
