I am having a issue with my C++ project not able to compile the code when I have created a New Project. I have no idea on what it is causing this to happen and I do not understand this error.
Can anyone please help me understand the issue on why it is doing this?
This never happen to my old and I have no idea why it is doing to my new PC. Also, show some screenshots as that would be helpful for me to see the clear picture.
how i fixed it is by using the git hub version(possibly use the higher versions) . if u have the internet facility use it and report back if the error is still existent or wait for a fix
Oh I see it’s just a way to get the old version back before the update of Visual Studio. Seems confusing for me to know which one to download there.
Well, I’m only using Unreal Engine 4.10 and I just downloaded Unreal Engine 4.13 which the code compile seem to work. I hope the code and blueprint is not much of a big difference. I don’t like how Unreal Engine 4 layout changes a lot including when I watch old engines tutorials.
Turns out, the Compiler works when you make a new project but when you Compile it with Visual Studio in Unreal Engine or Build Solution. It shows the error issue with Visual Studio and not the code itself.
I had tried with 4.11 and had the issue but I never try to fix this link you have sent me.
I tried with 4.13 now and it worked fine creating a new C++ project, but there is another issue with Visual Studio not working with the code even I had used this code before and worked last year.
If you’re using UE 4.10 or later, it will require Visual Studio 2015. Additionally, if you are already using 2015 and your version of Visual Studio is running Update 3, you will need to update to 4.11 or later. Update 3 introduced an error that was fixed later. If you’re using 4.11, you will need to manually add the fix which can be found here: Current Available Quick-Fix Solutions - Announcements - Epic Developer Community Forums . Versions after 4.11 have this fix already included, so if you are using 4.12 or later, you should be able to create code projects without this error. Let us know if this is not the case for what your’e experiencing.
The “OtherCopilationError(5)” message means that the error that occurred isn’t something that has an error code related to it. You can check the Output log for more information in the majority of situations that involve this message.
